A lifelong student of business, Mike first started selling bulk candy to neighborhood children at a very young age. His entrepreneurial spirit continued to grow as an adult with some early training grounds and successes in business. In the early 90s, Mike founded Chesapeake Technology Group and shortly after The Server Company. In the late 90s Mike merged these two companies to form SolutionWorx. For over 25 years SolutionWorx helped organizations better leverage technology to achieve their business goals.

Chair Emeritus, Curt gained extensive experience in leadership, team-building, and leadership development during his 34 years in the Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer, prior to retiring as a Rear Admiral. He was chief executive of several organizations during the latter half of his Navy career and has lived in many parts of the country, as well as overseas.

Greg is an accomplished entrepreneur and senior executive with a continual record of business growth and leadership in consumer products, consulting, renewal energy and hospitality. His management background includes sales management, business development, training and fundraising for start-up organizations. In 2010 he founded and built a restaurant franchise company with the Jersey Mike’s Subs brand, which he consequently sold in 2019.

Jim spent over 30 years in the Printing and Graphics industry in the DC Metro. Rising from sales to operations manager to President / Owner of the largest privately held printing company in the Mid-Atlantic with over 500 employees. JD Norman was recognized by his peers as the Member of the year at C12 Northern Virginia/DC Metro Celebration dinner. JD is the President and Owner of Active Engagement, a cutting-edge digital political fundraising agency. JD has been a member of C12 since 2013. The other members mentioned their appreciation of JD's advice, insights, and reliance on God as the owner of his business.
Scott Payne was recognized by his peers as the Member of the Year at the C12 DC Celebration dinner. Scott is the Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A in Purcellville Va, which he opened in 2015 and has built into one of the top performing restaurants in the chain. He is a graduate of Westpoint Academy and spent 23 years in the Marine Corps prior to moving into the restaurant business. He is a strong advocate for planning, using the EOS Traction program, and has been a member of C12 for five years. Scott and his wife Kelly have 5 children and live in the Purcellville area.
Member of the year Lissette Steele was recognized by her peers as the Reston C12 Forum Member of the Year at the C12 Metro DC Celebration Dinner. Lissette is the Founder of Verge Scientific Communications, a vibrant company which crafts compelling stories for life science companies. She joined C12 in 2019, her company has more than doubled in revenue during that period, and she is known in her forum for her wise counsel and for taking action on new things learned each month to make a difference in her company.”
Christian Gaffney was recognized by his peers as the Fairfax C12 Forum Member of the Year at the C12 Metro DC Celebration Dinner. Christian is the Senior Pastor at Expectation Church in Fairfax and has been a C12 Member since 2020. In the last 10 years, he is the only pastor we have had in C12 in our region, but he makes us aware of how complex a church organization can be. He eagerly soaks up C12’s leadership lessons, is dedicated to cultural improvement, and always shares wise business and spiritual counsel to others around the table.
Hector Garrido was recognized by his peers as the Springfield Key Player of the Year at the C12 Metro DC Celebration Dinner. Hector is the Operations Manager of 10 McDonald’s restaurants in Northern Virginia and has been a C12 Member since 2018. Although Hector carries a heavy business load, he always makes time for his C12 Forums each month and is dedicated to helping his C12 peers, as well as continually growing spiritually and as a leader.
Jennifer Kirkland was recognized by her peers as the Leesburg Key Player of the Year at the C12 Metro DC Celebration Dinner. Jennifer is the Vice President of All Trans Pack, Inc., is a unique packing and crating company, specializing in the packaging and movement of hazardous goods, as well as conducting required training in these areas. She has been a C12 Member since 2014 and is known for high completion of monthly goals, strong dedication to the group, and desire to give solid counsel to others around the table each month.
Ryan Cich was recognized by his peers as the Leesburg Key Player of the Year at the C12 Metro DC Celebration Dinner. Ryan is the Professional Services Director for WingSwept, an information technology company with offices in both Northern Virginia and North Carolina. Ryan has been a C12 Member since 2014 and is known for his desire to grow as a leader, as well as his strong analytical abilities which he weaves into his excellent advice that he provides to his peers each month at his C12 Forum.
